Event Type: Children's Programs Date: 2/5/2018 Start Time: 4:00 PM End Time: 5:00 PM Description: Lydia Adams will offer classes in American Sign Language for students between grades 3-5 along with an adult practice "buddy" (if possible) on Mondays, Jan.8,15,22 & 29,along with an inter-active ASL Workshop on Monday, Feb 5th from 4-5pm. Introductory sign language classes will introduce significant signing, finger-spelling fluency and songs.
ASL is an exciting way to communicate! Students are discovering the intriguing art of using sign language to communicate stories about themselves, their families, and daily events. These lively after school classes will be taught by Lydia Adams Davis, who is a singer-signer-songwriter-recording artist with a M.S.certification in Deaf Education from Gallaudet University and Hunter College.
