Join published memoir author, Donna Minkowitz, for a two-hour workshop where you will learn the basics of memoir writing, including ways to use emotion, our five senses, and the art of storytelling.
Bring pen and paper. This workshop is free, but registration is required as space is limited. Please register at the Library's Front Desk. Location: Community Room Other Information: Ms. Minkowitz is the author of two memoirs, "Ferocious Romance" (a Lambda Literary Award winner) and "Growing Up Golem" (a finalist for both a Lambda Literary Award and the Judy Grahn Nonfiction Award.) She is a former columnist for the Village Voice and the Advocate. Her journalism and essays have also been published in the New York Times Book Review, The Nation, Slate, Salon, and Ms.
Ms Minkowitz has taught her memoir writing workshop at the 92nd Street Y, the New York Public Library, and the Brooklyn Public Library. |
