Is Self-Publishing for You? Exploring the Opportunities and Obstacles

Event Type: Adult
Date: 9/13/2018
Start Time: 6:30 PM
End Time: 7:30 PM
The process of getting a book proposal accepted by a traditional publisher can feel like a grueling process, although not without its rewards. But there is another route, growing more popular and accepted in the publishing community: author-publishing (i.e. self-publishing). If you have ever considered following this road, please join local author-publishers Jennifer Clair and Lauree Ostrofsky as they share what they’ve learned through the creation, distribution, and marketing of their non-fiction books. Jennifer is a chef and the author of "Six Basic Cooking Techniques: Culinary Essentials for the Home Cook" and Lauree is the author of two self-help books titled "Simply Leap: Seven Lessons on Facing Fear and Enjoying the Crap out of Your Life" and "I'm Scared & Doing It Anyway."

Location: Community Room
