 Beacon author Donna Minkowitz will teach a free memoir writing workshop Thursday, January 12 from 6 PM-7:15 PM. The focus will be on how to write about our emotions, and how to write in ways that use our senses to make our story come alive for the reader. Come and be ready to write!

 Donna Minkowitz is the author of GROWING UP GOLEM and FEROCIOUS ROMANCE, and the winner of a Lambda Literary Award and a GLAAD Media Award. A former columnist for the Village Voice, she has also written for the New York Times Book Review, The Nation, Salon, and Slate. She has taught memoir writing classes for over 20 years.
