This Kripalu Yoga class is led by Michael Doherty, certified Kripalu Yoga instructor. Kripalu Yoga utilizes breathing techniques, (pranayama), postures, (asanas), meditation and relaxation as a vehicle to find better balance in one's body and in everyday living. It works on the muscular-skeletal systems as well as the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, immune, and nervous systems.
A regular practice of yoga has been shown to produce physical benefits including reduced anxiety, stress, and blood pressure levels, and increased flexibility, strength, endurance, energy, and relaxation levels.
