Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 8:30 PM
Excessive nitrogen pollution from sewage is responsible for massive fish kills, turtle die-offs, toxic algae blooms, closed beaches, and polluted water bodies around Long Island. This presentation by Suffolk County and the Citizens Campaign for the Environment will educate you about the benefits of replacing cesspools and antiquated septic tanks with new and innovative alternatives that help protect our harbors, bays, rivers, lakes, and drinking water. You may even be eligible to receive up to $11,000 in grant funds from the county to help offset the cost of the new unit.
