For centuries, Amsterdam was both the capital of a vast empire and the richest city in the world contributing the Dutch Renaissance, unique architecture, romantic canals, and St. Nicholas. During the 1960s and 1970s Amsterdam was the world center for hippies, prostitution, pornography, and drugs, a time when many Americans flocked to the city in droves. Presented by Dr. Ronald Brown, who was one of the many young Americans who called this fascinating city home during those years.
