 Professional photographer Michael Fairchild takes you on a journey of the imagination to the fledgling democracy called Myanmar; a mysterious land of gold covered pagodas, ancient ruins, and Buddhist monasteries. River journeys on the Irrawaddy River and Mekong Rivers reveal the fragile bounty of these crucial waterways. This program also explores the dark history behind the Khmer Rouge's "Killing Fields" and Cambodia's struggle to recover from decades of famine, poverty, and oppression. The ancient Khmer temples of Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, and Angkor Thom are captured in vivid narrative and visual detail. Michael Fairchild's photographs have been published by National Geographic, Sierra Club, Nikon, and Time-Life.

Professional photographer Michael Fairchild will highlight the ancient kingdoms of Myanmar Cambodia and Laos through visual photography.
