Makers and Librarians, Makerspaces and Libraries

The Maker Movement: Creators, inventors, artists, crafters, passionate about building a community of learning. Makerspaces: Places that bring people together to share tools, skills, and knowledge to create through doing and playing.
Libraries have always been about engaging with communities and supporting knowledge creation. The intersection with the maker movement/makerspaces can encompass a dedicated space or one-off programming. It can be high or low tech.
Join us for a day devoted to exploring the Maker movement, and makerspaces in libraries. In the afternoon, we will have a hands-on train the trainer session programming and creating with open source hardware.
