Description:

Why is cataloging important? What should you, a busy library director know about cataloging and classification? What are some easy tools to use?

This one-day class will focus on all of those questions. We will explore the elements of a catalog record, do some hands on practice, and look at cataloging in the context of your libraries. You will walk away from this class with an enhanced understanding of why cataloging matters at your library and with practical knowledge of cataloging, classification, and holdings records that will make your job easier and improve service to your patrons.
