2-1-1 Database Training for Librarians

 This 1.5 hour “deep dive” into the Vermont 2-1-1 website is designed to train librarians to become more proficient at connecting library users with the social service and community resources in the 2-1-1 database. Participants will gain a working knowledge of the Taxonomy, the North American standard for indexing and accessing resources, and the 211 Database.

Learning concepts and objectives:
• To describe the basic structure of the resource database.
• To outline the basic types of resource database searches and some searching strategies.
• To be able to draw upon additional information resources when required.

These workshops count for 1.5 CEUs, Elective category.
