Basic Public Library Administration - Part II

 Both Part I (10/17) & Part II (10/29) are required to fulfill the Administration requirement for the Certificate of Public Librarianship. *You must register for each part separately.*

PART II (10/29 - 12pm-4pm) will be devoted to library budgets and financial responsibilities of the library director: building and tracking a budget, advocating for budget requests to Trustees and Select Boards, the difference between municipal and incorporated libraries, with a brief introduction to grants and fundraising. VTLIB staff will be joined by Gary Deziel, UVM Extension Assistant Professor for Community Development, MBA SHRM Certified Professional, and library trustee.

25 CEU (only if both parts are completed.)
