 Join VTLIB as we host Taylor Small and Gustavo Mercado Muņiz from the Pride Center of VT to present the LGBTQ+ Best Practicecs Training. This training will cover a brief overview of identity development, provide exercises to distinguish and understand the components of the LGBTQ acronym, facilitate a discussion around pronouns and how to normalize conversations regarding personal pronouns, review the minority stress model, and hold a wrap-up conversation where participants identify best practices when working with LGBTQ clients using all of their newly gained information.


● Participants will have a greater understanding of health disparities that impact LGBTQ communities
● Participants will learn about the minority stress model and develop a holistic understanding of LGBTQ identities
● Participants will identify best practices that they can incorporate into their work to enhance the accessibility of their programs and services among LGBTQ clients.

This webinar will be presented via ZOOM. Participants will be emailed the access information closer to the event.

This training is geared towards Vermont public library staff, volunteers, trustees, and friends.
