This class covers basic cataloging practices, including copy cataloging, a review of classification, and a peak through the door of the theory and philosophy behind cataloging. It will also include hands on cataloging practice. There will be 5 weekly required synchronous online meetings with required assignments in-between sessions.

This course fulfills the core Cataloging requirement for the Certificate of Public Librarianship program. The 5 required online synchronous sessions will be held on MS Teams. Confirmed registrants will receive the link to access those before the first class.
